Megan Thee Stallion’s Summer Manicure Puts the Cow in Cowgirl

Remember how suddenly everyone was wearing cow print in 2021? Megan Thee Stallion is making the case to bring that back. Her latest western manicure screams “yee-haw,” and it might just completely revive the retired print.

Cowgirl-inspired aesthetics are nothing new, but when it comes to western nails there are dozens of ways to get the trend (think: gingham prints, turquoise accents, etc). Of course, what always comes to mind is classic cow print—although it’s rare to see someone swap minimalist pearly polishes for a loud print, Megan the Stallion is up for the job. On July 23, she posted photos of her new long nails featuring the print to her Instagram as part of her Japan photo dump.

Each of her long, square nails had a bright white base. Then, the nails were painted with mismatched blobs to mimic black cow spots to create the print. A glossy top coat gave the nails a refined shine, and voilà, you have Megan Thee Stallion’s cow print nails.

The 29-year-old matched her nails with a cow-printed hat, furry Louis Vuitton purse, and earth-toned outfit. A long black cat eye was the statement of her soft glam that included a bronzy complexion and a glossy pink lip look.

If Meg’s new nails sparked any inspiration, getting the look at home is easier than you’d think. The cow spots don’t have to be perfect, and with a thin brush, you can create black splotches across each of your nails for a similar effect. Or, a pack of press-ons is always an option—ImPress’ Cowgirl set includes cow-printed nails and a plain black option so you can mix and match.
